Brian & Sarah - Wedding

This is my reward for finishing my homework early...I got to edit the pictures from my brother's wedding...So, here goes (you can click on them to see them bigger):

I put this up yesterday, but it had to go in the mix. This is Brian before the ceremony. I had the idea of taking his picture fishing, since that's what he does and what he's always done.

Ring Exchange

Cue little flower girl!

Cowgirl Boots

Me & Tanner (he's a fun kid!)

My favorite!! :)

Second favorite:

Brandon and Tanner (Ring Bear/Cousin) playing around

First Dance

Mother/Son Dance

These are by brothers friends from elementary school. They've kept in touch through the years. They both paid to dance with him during the dollar dance.

Mom, Sarah, and Me (the "Batta" girls..even though my name isn't Batta anymore):

Megan + Andy

Soooo, I wasn't their actual photographer (hence the tops of heads in a couple pictures), but I wanted to have some fun and keep on practicing for my future brides & grooms.

Megan was my suite-mate my sophomore year of college. She lived with 3 girls who were all in Computer Graphics Technology while she was an English Education major. (You can imagine some of the drama she dealt with living with 3 people who were in the same competitive major!). Anyway, Megan met Andy over Christmas break while she was on a mission trip. I remember coming back from break and her inviting him to come out to dinner with the group of people we were always hanging around sophomore year. Little did they know, they were in for the long haul. He proposed about a year and a half later at a Cubs game (and hid the ring in a cracker jack box)! And now, a little over a year after that, they are happily married and on their honeymoon! I really do wish them the best in married life and look forward to many Mario Kart Wii tournaments this winter! :)

Here's my version of their happily ever after: :)

I love their facial expressions in this picture. Megan is so happy and excited, and Andy looks like he's proudly and respectfully absorbing the moment.

Karla & Sam Reception

I tried to make this look vintage...I liked it, but that could just be me! haha.

Teaser

So, here's a little teaser of what is to come...or I at least hope the rest turn out as well. hehe! I did Karla and Sams wedding reception on Saturday. It was a lot of fun, and SO NICE to have the new lens. Woo! I have so much editing to do this week between her wedding pictures and sweet shots from the trip. I'm learning soo much! Thank goodness!! I've officially booked two weddings for the next year.

P.S. I added a vintage look to it, because I thought it looked cool.

In My Red High Heels

So, red high heels have always been a favorite of mine ever since the Kelly Clarkson song came out. I swear that I heard the song and fell in love with the shoes before the craze occurred. It was my plan to wear red heels for my wedding, but unfortunately the dress I bought was made for exactly my height..no heels for me! This was a shot at Brittney's wedding. I've been improving my editing skills (or at least attempting to, so that's where most of these pictures are coming from).

Note, the no more photo a day. I just couldn't do it. Since I was cooped up inside for most of the winter, I didn't have enough inspiration. I like people shots better anyway. So, I'm improving my editing skills and going from there.

Things to look forward to:
Florida Pics
Karla's Reception
Kristy & CT's Engagement Session (woo!)

Black and White Edits

I decided to edit photos instead of take new ones today :)

I always knew my black and whites were missing something to give them that professional edge, so I did some googling and ended up with these. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out! This was a wedding I shot back in October of last year. I'm potentially doing another wedding this winter, and I'm doing more engagement shoots throughout the year. I want to up my editing skills. You can do a lot with photos in photoshop!
